Nature is my happy place! It has always been that way since I was a little girl. I’ve always loved to climb trees, play outside, swim, be in the woods, and be at the beach. I’ve always felt a deep connection, a peaceful well-being feeling when in nature. I love to travel and get to know new cities but, there is nothing better for me than exploring different places’ natural beauty. My favorite place in New York is Central Park, Hyde Park is my favorite in London, Mount Rainier in Seattle, and Santa Monica beach in LA. It turns out this feeling has a scientific reason, as I’ve learned from energy healing expert Valerie Oula in her inspirational lecture about vibrational energy.

The earth has an electromagnetic field created by all the moving electric charges from lightning flashes that strike the crust about 50 times every second. Each lightning burst creates electromagnetic waves that begin to circle the planet captured between Earth’s surface and a boundary about 60 miles up. As NASA states, some of the waves combine, increasing in strength, to create a repeating atmospheric heartbeat known as Schumann resonance or Earth’s heartbeat that vibrates at 7.83 Hz. Interestingly enough, the alpha range of our brain waves vibrates at 7.83 Hz. That means when we’re in nature we are vibrating at the same frequency or in resonance with Earth. That’s why I feel relaxed when in nature!

Nature is a powerful antidepressant and one of the easiest stress relievers. Close your eyes and imagine yourself walking in nature, the birds singing, the sound of the wind shaking trees’ leaves, the whisper of the water running at distance, and maybe the sun shining along the way. Just picturing this scenery makes me feel profound peace and joy! Nature is our biggest provider, it offers us food for the body and soul and yet wisdom, food for the mind. Mother nature teaches us resilience showing how to survive through adversities every winter and come back strong and vibrant every spring. She shows how to fertilize the soil with the organic matter of every leaf that falls, every little creature that perishes. She also teaches that all living species are interconnected to an ecosystem equilibrium and that we should be wise to keep everything in balance as failing to do so causes bad consequences.

Those are some of the reasons why I named my business Mamma Terra, which means Mother Earth. The prime intention of my signature coaching program – Nature Walk, is to reconnect people with nature. It’s an invitation to take in all the benefits of walking in nature which goes beyond exercise, hormone health, and improved immunity. Part of the program is to look at food from a broader, sustainable perspective, and find the lifestyle that will bring the necessary balance for one body’s optimum performance.

I feel very blessed to live in a place surrounded by such abundant nature! East Tennessee, where I live, is home to the Great Smoky Mountains, the most visited US national park. Even the urban areas are full of gorgeous parks, trails, and tons of water! Of all the places I’ve lived, this is where I feel more connected to nature! I hope you have a chance to be out in nature often, better yet daily, where you live! I hope it makes you feel as great as I do when doing so! I’ll keep talking about all the good things nature does for us! Keep tuning in to Mamma Terra’s blog. Gratitude, Love, and Peace!

Anna.
